红山文化——角形器

大小不一，形状略有差异，诸多此类玉器。因先民们相信自己的祖先为某种带角动物，因此取角之形制做成器，以表达对祖先的怀念与敬畏。在某些方面，还可能与权力和神巫所使法器有关联。属于祖先图腾崇拜器。
This article is cone-like as a horn .It is very common in different sizes and shapes.Such jade wares were made because the ancestors believed that their forefathers were some animals with horns and did so for the memorial and reverence.In some aspect,it is related to the power of authority and ritual use .Also,it is an ancestor's toterm.

Two-Headed Triple Hole Figure
The figure is in the shape of connected bridge,with twined beast heads at each end.By analysis,the whole appearance is likely to be a Siamese-twins-lide animal.Two holes at each side is regarded as the abdomen of animal,and the hole in the middle is the jointed point of tails.It is virtually a phallic totem.The antecedent hoped that the liwestock they feed could unceasingly produce sufficient food for people's living.As to the function of bottom hole,it must be tied bythe cord through itself on some article that is used for the oblation or other special purposes.
